I won't divulge any major spoilers, but I will say that as the mystery continues to deepen, we're in the side car for the ride along with Diana (time for the Biker Wonder Woman Costume from the TV series! LOL!) as she tries to discover more than just the history and time line that was stolen from her, but also her very heritage. I LOVE that they are continuing to delve into the characters we all knew and loved from the former Wonder Woman comics. I was DELIGHTED to see Phillipus, and it was great to 'meet' Andrasteia, as well as the cat-once-Amazon Galenthias, and the stone guardians in the form of Lions on the front porch of the Amazon's current dwelling. All WONDERFUL little touches. We see into the lives of the Amazons, as well as glimpses of the burgeoning plans that the Morrigan have in store for Diana.Another 'wonderful' touch were scenes of Diana trying to be 'normal', and in my next favorite scene down from Phillipus, we see flashbacks of Diana and her 'wonderful' soul, making use of her gods given gifts even as a young child, a heroine even then. And don't even get me started on the acts of kindness she's performing in this new 'modern' reality. And then of course this issue ends on an EPIC cliffhanger! One of the best I've seen in YEARS... (Wonder Woman #606 Wonder Woman 606 Variant Cover (2011)) So seriously, spend the 20 to 30 bucks it will take you to get issues 600 through to 610, as of the time of this writing... I recommend deepuppystore, a seller here on Amazon, or another I use often called Legends of Rome. Both have gotten me a great many of my comics for my collection in MINT condition, always well packaged and speedily shipped...
So anyway, check these new Wonder Woman stories out for yourselves folks. If you loved Wonder Woman, then that heroine is not gone, and what happened is VERY much a part of the story. Straczynski really delivers. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
