Having met and spoken with Bill a couple of times (in the Netherlands) and being almost of the same age, I a) could visualize (young) Bill in this story and b) recognized the typical 60's era, despite the differences from my childhood in the Netherlands. For those not knowing Bill, you'll get a nice impression of America in the sixties, written in a very humorously style.
